A Vice President in Commercial Lines at Bernard Williams & Company Insurance and Financial Services, Ryan Sewell, is a recipient of the Keystone Thoroughbred Award. The honor, given by Keystone Insurers Group, recognizes the accomplishments of insurance sales executives that generate the highest sales numbers in new business for their respective states.
Keystone awards are considered very prestigious in the insurance industry, recognizing superior performance in sales. Sewell is one of two Thoroughbred Award winners in Georgia.
Sewell accredited his accomplishment to his Bernard Williams & Company team. “My sales numbers reflected the amount of work that goes into production here year after year. Bernard Williams & Company has long been viewed as a relatively small, locally-owned agency, but we have the capacity to service any business, large or small," Sewell said, "And we have the back-office support, both here in Savannah and with our Keystone partners, to bring these resources to the table for our customers for a better return on their investment.”
Keystone Insurers Group is an umbrella organization that makes available to independent insurance agencies virtually every product and service that can be obtained from larger insurance brokers. This puts Keystone member agencies in competition with the national brokers. Keystone has franchise member agencies in nine states, including Bernard Williams & Company in Savannah.
“Ryan was one of only two top sales guys in the country out of Georgia,” said Robert Sutter, president of Keystone Insurers Group. The second winner is Michael Harbin at the Harbin Agency in Fayetteville. Sutter continued, “There are racehorses and plow horses, and every business needs both. We are just recognizing our racehorses for doing their job.”
