Mohawk Industries Inc., Genuine Parts Co. and NCR Corp. had the fastest-growing workforces among Georgia's top public companies in 2013.

A review by Atlanta Business Chronicle of Georgia's 25 largest public companies ranked by revenues shows the number of employees at the three companies each grew by double-digit percentages between year-end 2012 and 2013.

That was much faster than the average at Georgia's 25 largest public companies, where overall employment grew by 1.7 percent during 2013 - the same as in 2012. Thirteen of the companies report they increased employment during 2013. Three say employment was unchanged, and nine report declines.
