Small Business Council Smart Luncheon June 3rd

Press release from the issuing company

Friday, May 30th, 2014

The way we manage is influenced by the language we use when we talk about business competition.  We often use metaphors from the world of sports, and strive for things like home runs, wins or sprints to the finish.  This sort of language can lead to subtle problems over time, causing us to focus on the wrong things and to think about competition in counterproductive ways.  This presentation then challenges some long-held assumptions about competition and offers some thought provoking ideas about how to better manage.

Please don’t miss this educational opportunity given by Dr. Allen C. Amason, Dean of the College of Business at Georgia Southern University, along with a delicious lunch provided by Vincenzo’s Italian Restaurant & Catering Company.
