WTCSav to Host C-TPAT Security & Threat Awareness Workshop

On Tuesday, May 20, 8:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m., World Trade Center Savannah (WTCSav) will host a C-TPAT Security and Threat Awareness Workshop at WTCSav, 131 Hutchinson Island Road. This interactive, half-day training course covers all aspects of the Customs-Trade Partnership Against Terrorism (C-TPAT) certification process and on-going responsibilities of a C-TPAT participant. It will serve as annual C-TPAT security training and awareness and is structured to provide best practices associated with global supply chain management under the minimum security guidelines as enforced by the Department of Homeland Security.

The nationally recognized training organization for import/export trade compliance, The World Academy, will lead this workshop, review all aspects of the C-TPAT initiative from application to the 5 Step Risk Assessment review and share information about: 

  • Origin of C-TPAT, post 9/11
  • Benefits of program
  • Eligibility to participate
  • C-TPAT application process
  • C-TPAT validation process
  • Training aspects of C-TPAT
  • Future of C-TPAT

The cost for the workshop is $75 per participant and includes lunch and reference handouts. In addition, attendees will earn 6.5 NEI NCBFAA points. Registration is required by May 12. To register, visit wtcsavannah.org.
