Bill Sorochak Named New Executive Director of The Savannah Ronald McDonald House

The Ronald McDonald House Charities of the Coastal Empire is pleased to announce that Bill Sorochak is the new Executive Director. In his new role, Sorochak will be responsible for giving direction and leadership towards the achievement of the organization’s philosophy, mission, strategy and its annual goals and objectives.

Before becoming the Ronald McDonald House Executive Director, Sorochak worked at non-profit organizations for 18 years. He spent seven of those years working for the Ronald McDonald House of the Carolinas and two working for the Ronald McDonald House of the Coastal Empire.

“My passion lies with the Ronald McDonald House because it serves every type of illness and injury that children from zero to 22 years old encounter,” said Sorochak.

Before working at the Ronald McDonald House, he served as the Development Director for the Girl Scout Council, Executive Director for the Muscular Dystrophy Association and Executive Director for Susan G. Komen.

Sorochak is from Torrington, CT. He has a Bachelor of Science degree in human resource management and a minor in marketing from the University of Connecticut.

He enjoys spending time with his children, playing golf, basketball, biking and the opportunity to talk about the Ronald McDonald House.

Sorochak is the winner of the Ronald McDonald House International Best Bets Award and the creator and founder of the Red Shoe Society (RSS), a group of young professionals who support the Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Members of the Coastal Empire Red Shoe Society, network and create friendships with other community-minded young professionals while also helping critically-ill children and their families.
