Choate Construction Company announced today it has been awarded construction of the Harbour Town Clubhouse and Conference Center at Sea Pines Resort on Hilton Head Island, South Carolina.
Construction began immediately following the 2014 RBC Heritage PGA Tournament and is to be complete prior to the April 2015 Tournament.
The work consists of demolishing the existing Harbour Town Clubhouse and the construction of its 51,807-SF, three-story replacement, designed by Grady L. Woods Architect. On the main level, the 4,000-SF men’s and women’s locker rooms meet the needs of the PGA Tour while a 2,000-SF restaurant with indoor and outdoor seating provides expansive golf views. Elegant banquet and event rooms, terraces, and covered porches allow for entertaining of all kinds.
The existing Conference Center will receive upgrades to the Kitchen as well as the exterior façade to match the new Clubhouse. Expanded covered porches and new gazebo will provide additional pre-function space.
“Choate is proud to partner with The Sea Pines Resort to deliver a facility worthy of being on one of the most distinguished PGA Tour Golf Courses in the country,” says Millard Choate, President of Choate Construction Company. “The new Clubhouse and Conference Center upgrades will continue to ensure Sea Pines is the most anticipated destination on the PGA Tour.”
