Mixon Promoted to Commercial Lead at Sea Island Bank

Sea Island Bank, a division of Synovus Bank, announced recently that Padgett Mixon had been promoted to Commercial Lead.

In his new role, Mixon will oversee management responsibilities for Savannah’s Commercial Banking Team with additional Risk Management oversight for the market.  He will also continue to manage a commercial portfolio that specializes in residential construction and manufacturing.

“Padgett has made significant and meaningful contributions to both our team and our clients over the past several years, and I am thrilled to have someone of his caliber leading these efforts for Sea Island Bank,” said Ken Rabitsch, City President.

Mixon, who joined Sea Island Bank in 2007, began his banking career in 2003 after previously working in the manufacturing industry for five years.  During his time in the financial services industry, he has worked in a variety of roles including as a Wealth Management and Commercial Relationship Manager. He is a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology with a degree in Industrial and Systems Engineering.

Mixon has served the community as the Chairman of the “3 Days for Armstrong Atlantic State University” Annual Campaign, a member of the United Way Capital Campaign Cabinet, and Emerging Leaders Committee of The Savannah Community Foundation (formerly known as the 2000 Club). In addition, he has served on the boards of Saint Andrews School and Savannah Sport Fishing Club.
