The American Traditions Competition (ATC) announces a new board for its 22nd year as it claims the last week in February as its own. February 23-27 2015 will once again see the best of classic American music performed by 28 individual vocalists as they compete for the Courtney Knight Gaines Foundation Gold Medal Award worth $12,000, representing over 25% of the total prize fund of $40,000.
Artistic Consultant, Vale Ridout said “When you have got a good thing going stick to it. That is why the new board has decided to ensure that the ATC takes place during the last week in February and is again partnering with two wonderful Savannah venues – the Skidaway Island United Methodist Church and the historic Savannah Theatre”.
The American Traditions Competition has also approved a new Board of Directors for the 2014-15 year.
