The Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce is calling for nominations for its 2014 Business Awards, which will be presented to selected recipients at the Business Awards Luncheon on Thursday, Oct. 9. The deadline for nominations is Friday, Sept. 5. To nominate, go to http://bit.ly/1q5zSBG.  

Each year the Chamber honors businesses and individuals representing all major sectors in the Savannah area’s economy – small business, industry and tourism. The awards include Entrepreneur of the Year; Environmental Excellence Award; Gulfstream Manufacturer Community Involvement Award; Helen V. Head, Small Business Advocate Award; Hospitality Business of the Year Award; Safety Awards; Small Business of the Year and World Trade Center Savannah International Business of the Year.

The Business Awards Luncheon will take place before the Chamber’s Business Expo on Oct. 9 at the Savannah Civic Center. Networking for the luncheon will begin at 11:30 a.m., and the luncheon will be held from noon to 1:30 p.m. Tickets are $40.
