Inc. 5000 recently announced that Parker’s, a nationally recognized convenience store leader, has been named to Inc. magazine's Inc. 500|5000 ranking of the nation's fastest-growing companies for the third consecutive year. According to Don Waters, CEO of Brasseler USA in Savannah, Ga., “This is a very difficult achievement for a brick and mortar business [versus an internet-based, wholesale or technology business] and it’s astonishing that Parker’s has won this honor for three years in a row.”
Eric Schurenberg, president and editor in chief of Inc. magazine, commented that “as an Inc. 5000 honoree, Parker’s shares a pedigree with Intuit, Zappos, Under Armour, Microsoft, Jamba Juice, Timberland, Clif Bar, Pandora, Patagonia, Oracle, and other notable alumni.”
The Inc. 500|5000ranking is based on percentage revenue growth from 2010 through 2013. Only 5,000 out of approximately seven million privately held U.S. businesses were named to the 2014 list.
“This celebrated achievement is a testament to our employees and the trust and confidence that our customers and business partners have placed in us,” said Parker’s CEO Greg Parker. "This phenomenal growth is only possible as the result of a coordinated team effort.”
Looking ahead, Parker’s is poised for continued strategic growth in key markets.
"We still see a lot of opportunity in the marketplace," Parker added. "So, we'll continue to pursue aggressive growth by adding resources, increasing our presence and expanding our service offerings. We will focus on innovative opportunities and will continue to exceed our customers’ expectations."
