Savannah Technical College to Honor ACF National Chef Educator of the Year

Savannah Technical College will honor Chef Jean Vendeville, the 2014 American Culinary Federation National Chef Educator of the Year, with an informal reception at 10:45 a.m., on Monday, August 4 in the STC Board Room(5717 White Bluff Road, Savannah, 31405).
The award, established in 1998, pays tribute to an active culinary educator whose knowledge, skills and expertise has enhanced the image of the professional chef, and who, by example, has provided guidance to students seeking a career in the culinary profession. His victory was announced late last night at the awards celebration for the2014 American Culinary Federation National Competition held in Kansas City.
For the competition, Vendeville had 50 minutes to present a lecture and demonstration for a panel of judges on triumphed over regional winners from the West (the Art Institute of Tucson), Northeast (State University of New York Cobleskill) and the Central (Pulaski Technical College in Little Rock, Ark.)
