UGA’s Terry College Appoints Tony Martin of Savannah to its Alumni Board of Directors

Tony Martin is a new member of the Alumni Board of Directors at the University of Georgia’s Terry College of Business. He is one of thirteen new members to join the 60-member alumni board. He was appointed to a three-year term of service on the board that began July 1, 2014. 

Martin has been a prominent leader in the business community for more than 15 years. He joined Martin Financial Group in 2001 and helped cofound M3 Advisors in 2014. Martin is a frequent speaker on the topics of exit planning, succession and their integration from a wealth transfer perspective. His speaking engagements have included the Exit Planning Exchange, Georgia Society of CPA’s, Million Dollar Round Table and many others. 

A graduate of the University of Georgia MBA program with an emphasis in Corporate Finance, Investment and Risk Management, Martin is a believer in continuing his education obtaining a Masters in Taxation from the University of Tulsa along with multiple industry designations including a CFP®.   He is active in the Society of Financial Service Professionals, National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors, Forum 400 and the Savannah Estate Planning Council.  Martin is also an Advisory Board Member of Valmark Securities. 

In addition to his professional affiliation, Martin is an active community volunteer. He is a local board member of Junior Achievement of Georgia. 

The Alumni Board of Directors serves in an advisory capacity to the Dean and faculty of the Terry College of Business. The board also promotes and supports the College’s programs and activities in order to cultivate and encourage an ongoing affiliation between the college and its former students.
