Press release from the issuing company
Thursday, August 7th, 2014
Vice President of Communications Jeremy Harvey and Director of Public Relations Erica Backus of Visit Savannah will be sharing their social media expertise at this month’s TLC Connection Luncheon. Visit Savannah has received international acclaim for their use of social media to market Savannah as a tourist destination. They will speak about how to best use social media in tourism marketing, and how to avoid common mistakes in social media.
The luncheon will be held at 11:30 a.m. on Aug. 21 at the Mansion on Forsyth Park. The monthly luncheon is an educational and networking opportunity for people who work in the tourism industry. Each month features a different speaker who presents on a topic relevant to the industry.
The TLC Connection Luncheons are organized by the Tourism Leadership Council, the leading trade organization for tourism. Because the tourism industry employs more than 24,000 people in the community and brings more than $2.29 billion in annual revenue, the Tourism Leadership Council advocates for the tourism industry on the local, regional and national level.
If you are interested in attending the luncheon, please contact Molly Swagler, Vice President of Communications at (912) 232-1223 or (225) 937-2938.
