Grits & Magnolias Walking Tours announced that it has received a TripAdvisor Certificate of Excellence award. The accolade, which honors hospitality excellence, is given only to establishments that consistently achieve outstanding traveller reviews on TripAdvisor. Establishments awarded the Certificate of Excellence are located all over the world and represent the upper echelon of businesses listed on the website.

“I’d like to thank all of our past guests who took the time to complete a review on TripAdvisor,” said Cecil Waters, owner and tour guide at Grits & Magnolias Walking Tours. “There is no greater seal of approval than being recognized by your customers. Grits & Magnolia’s is truly a labor of love for me. I still am in awe at the absolutely breathtaking beauty of Savannah and I’m a natural student of history. I came out of the womb that way. I just love this city so much that I want other people to see it like I see it.”

TripAdvisor uses a proprietary formula to determine the Certificate of Excellence honorees that takes into account reviews ratings. Businesses must maintain an overall TripAdvisor bubble rating of at least four out of five, a certain volume of reviews and recency of reviews. Grits & Magnolias’ has maintained a perfect five-bubble score with the glowing and informative reviews at its TripAdvisor page. Additional criteria include a business’ tenure and popularity ranking on the site.

“TripAdvisor is pleased to honor exceptional hospitality businesses for consistent excellence,” said Marc Charron, President of TripAdvisor for Business. “The Certificate of Excellence award gives top performing establishments around the world the recognition they deserve, based on feedback from those who matter most – their customers. From Australia to Zimbabwe, we want to applaud exceptional hospitality businesses for offering TripAdvisor travellers a great customer experience.”
