JE Dunn/Rives E. Worrell Co. recently won a first place Build Georgia Award for its renovation of the spires at the Cathedral of St. John the Baptist. The recognition, presented by the Associated General Contractors (AGC) of Georgia, Inc., was awarded in the organization’s general contractor category.
“The Cathedral of St. John the Baptist is one of the most recognizable buildings in Savannah, and we were pleased to be selected by the Diocese of Savannah to renovate the iconic spires when two earthquakes damaged them,” said Walter Murphy, vice president of Rives E. Worrell Co. “This project is significant to me both professionally and personally, and I am pleased we were recognized by AGC for our work on this project.”
The Build Georgia General Contractor Award competition seeks to honor excellent construction projects throughout the state.
