New Venues and Talent for 2014 Savannah Food & Wine Festival

With ticket sales already surpassing expectations, organizers of the 2014 Savannah Food & Wine Festival have expanded the festival program, adding new venues, new talent, and increasing the number of tickets available. An updated schedule has been released, and sponsor Jaguar Hilton Head expects that even more talent and venues will be added between now and the festival’s opening Monday, November 10.

Showcasing local, regional, and national talent in the culinary, wine, and spirits fields, the Savannah Food & Wine Festival is only in its second year, yet it has become the signature event for coastal Georgia and Lowcountry connoisseurs of all stripes. The week-long festival takes place at venues throughout Savannah from November 10-16 and features celebrity chefs, renowned winemakers, one-of-a-kind culinary delights, and the finest wines and spirits. Also included are a wide array of demonstrations, cooking classes, and fun events such as the Barefoot Wine Waiter's Race and Bartender’s Challenge.

Here are some of the highlights of the latest updated schedule:

- Bethesda Farm to Table Dinner - Monday, November 10
- Master Class Series at the Mansion - Tuesday, November 11
- Celebrity Chef Tour, benefiting the James Beard Foundation - Wednesday, November 12
- Grand Reserve Tasting & Silent Auction and Le Grand Cochon - Thursday, November 13
- Epicurean Learning Experiences, the River Street Stroll, the Candlelight Home Tour, and the Riverboat Wine & Dinner Cruise - Friday, November 14
- Jazz & Bubbles Brunch - November 16

Meanwhile, the popular Taste of Savannah, November 15, has been expanded to include a wide array of events including Sysco Learning Experiences (presented by WTOC-TV), Atlanta Magazine’s Celebrity Chef Kitchen (presented by BI-LO), Big Green Egg Grilling Gurus Stage, and a Celebrity Author’s Tent featuring celebrity and local cookbook authors.
