Savannah Coffee Roasters to Host Special Fundraising Event in Downtown

The American Traditions Competition (ATC) announces a special fundraising evening starring Artistic Consultant and former winner, Vale Rideout, from 5.30-7.00pm on Sunday October 5th hosted by the Savannah Coffee Roasters at 215 West Liberty Street in downtown Savannah.
Grammy Award winning Tenor, Vale Rideout, won the ATC in 2006 and has been the organization’s Artistic Consultant since 2011. He returns to Savannah to perform some of his favorite songs from the Great American songbook as well as share some memories and insights into the ATC and his how his life and career has been affected by winning this prestigious competition. He will also be undertaking community outreach in schools and senior living facilities during his October visit to our city.
Rideout said “I am always delighted to be back in Savannah and am grateful to the Savannah Coffee Roasters for their partnership this year. We are offering an informal evening of Jonny Mercer songs and conversation with delightful refreshments and encourage people to attend to experience a taste of what is to come next February.”

The ATC will take place from February 23rd –27th 2015 at the Skidaway Island United Methodist Church and the Historic Savannah Theatre where the best of classic American music will be performed by 28 individual vocalists.
