The Georgia Power Classic on Sept. 15 will give participants a chance to play at one of the most exclusive clubs in Savannah, the Savannah Golf Club. Check-in and the driving range will open at 11 a.m., with a shotgun start at 1 p.m. Lunch will be served at noon. Registration costs $440 for a team of four.

The annual Georgia Power Sports Awards Luncheon, a fundraiser banquet honoring local athletes and partners that have excelled at their given sport or business, will take place Sept. 18with networking at 11:30 a.m., and the luncheon following at noon. The program will include a “Top Moments In Sports” video and the award presentations, featuring the John F. Hodges O.A.S.I.S. award, given to an individual who has shown outstanding achievement in sports in Savannah. This year’s award recipients include:

Table sponsorships are available for $425 for a full table sponsor, $225 for a half table sponsor and $60 for an individual ticket. This year, attendees can purchase a luncheon and golf combo package, which costs $800 for a full table sponsorship and golf, or $600 for a half table and golf.
