SouthCoast Health Welcomes Drs. Leland R. Dampier III, Braxton J. Fields, and Sabin A. Tomus

SouthCoast Health, the Savannah-based medical organization formerly known as SouthCoast Medical Group, continues to grow and expand its services with the addition of Drs. Leland R. Dampier III, Braxton Jordan Fields, and Sabin A. Tomus to its physician team.

Dampier, Fields, and Tomus exemplify our partnership with our patients to achieve their complete health and wellness.”
Dr. Leland R. Dampier III sees patients at SouthCoast Health’s Pooler office located at 1000 Towne Center Blvd., Suite 701 (phone: 912-748-2280). A graduate of Samford University in Birmingham, Alabama, Dr. Dampier went on to complete his medical degree at St. George’s University in Grenada, West Indies and a residency in family medicine at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah, Georgia. Dr. Dampier is a member of the American Academy of Family Practice and American Medical Association, and is certified in Advanced Cardiac Life Support and Pediatric Advanced Life Support, and by the Neonatal Resuscitation Program. Dr. Dampier is board certified in family medicine.
Radiologist Dr. Braxton J. Fields joins the team of radiologists at SouthCoast Health’s Imaging Center at the practice’s main Savannah campus located at 1326 Eisenhower Drive, Building 1 (phone: 912-691-4200). Dr. Fields received an American Chemical Society Certified Bachelor of Science in Chemistry degree from the University of Georgia in Athens, Georgia before completing his medical degree at Mercer School of Medicine in Macon, Georgia. Dr. Fields went on to complete a diagnostic radiology residency and neuroradiology fellowship at Medical College of Georgia in Augusta, Georgia, where he served as chief resident. An author of several publications and presentations on radiology research, Dr. Fields is a member of the American Alliance of Academic Chief Residents in Radiology, Association of University Radiologists, American College of Radiology, Radiological Society of North America, and American Roentgen Ray Society.
Dr. Sabin A. Tomus joined the SouthCoast Health team in July, where he sees patients at the practice’s Hinesville office located at 455 South Main Street, Suite 203 (phone: 912-876-3552). Dr. Tomus received his medical degree at Carol Davila University of Medicine and Pharmacy in his native Bucharest, Romania before completing a transitional residency at Caritas Hospital in Bucharest, Romania and a primary care internal medicine residency at St. Luke’s-Roosevelt Hospital Center in New York, New York. Dr. Tomus is board certified in internal medicine.
