WHEN: 7:30 - 9:30 a.m., October 17, 2014

WHAT ELSE: In 1996, after several years in corporate positions, Carolyn Seward turned her attention to transforming a non-profit with an 8-person staff to a $15 million workforce training center in the St. Louis region. Under her leadership, the MET Center partners with educational institutions, community-based organizations, the region’s economic development authority, and two Workforce Investment Boards among other partners. The Center now serves about 8,000 job-seekers a year by working with 700 area employers.
Join Step Up and local business, neighborhood, and community leaders to learn more about what it takes to build a powerful workforce development center that brings all the partners to the table. Everyone is welcome to this thought-provoking breakfast conversation.
