HELP CANCER PATIENTS GET ON THE ROAD TO RECOVERY

Volunteers Needed to Transport Cancer Patients to and from Lifesaving Cancer Treatment

Every day, cancer patients need a ride to treatment but some may not have a way to get there.  The American Cancer Society’s Road to Recovery program provides free transportation to and from treatment for people who have cancer and do not have a ride or are unable to drive themselves.  Volunteer drivers donate their time and use of their vehicle so that patients can receive the life-saving treatments they need.

Volunteer drivers are needed during the weekday. Volunteer Coordinators are needed to help schedule the rides. Coordinators donate about 4-5 hours a week coordinating rides with drivers for patients.

The American Cancer Society is hosting a Road to Recovery Information and Training Session for those interested in helping patients get to their much needed treatment
