Breakfast-and-Learn Seminar on Employment Law Offered by SBDC, HunterMaclean Attorneys

The Savannah Small Business Development Center (SBDC), a Public Service and Outreach unit of the University of Georgia and HunterMaclean Attorneys will offer a breakfast and learn seminar on Wednesday, November 12 at the HunterMaclean offices at 200 East Saint Julian Street downtown. Breakfast and networking will begin at 7:30 and the program will run from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. There is no charge to attend, but registration is required.
The SBDC and HunterMaclean will offer Answers Over Easy, a short series of breakfast and learns, beginning with the November 12 seminar on Employment Law for Businesses of Any Size. This seminar is designed to provide business owners and HR professionals with straightforward information to help them manage the legal aspects of their greatest resource—their employees.
Attorney Wade Herring will address questions such as
- What are proper hiring criteria?
- How do I comply with wage/hour rules?
- What do I need an employee handbook?
- Should I worry about unemployment claims?
- How do I legally discharge an employee?
- And more.
