Sea Island Bank, a division of Synovus Bank, announces that Kathy Sharpe will join the Sea Island Bank team as a Commercial Lender.  In this new role, Sharpe will oversee all three Sea Island Bank markets primarily focusing on large loan opportunities in the $10 million to $20 million range.  She will also work closely with Synovus divisions in Brunswick and Valdosta.

Sharpe previously served as a Regional Credit Manager with Synovus and her duties included managing a team of credit analysts supporting lenders with loan structuring, underwriting, and appraisal activities. Prior to joining Synovus, Sharpe worked for Wachovia for 20 years in various positions including Retail Branch Manager, Retail Loan Administration Team Leader, Business Banker, Wealth Management Lender, and Commercial Loan Manager.  Sharpe has a BBA in Finance from Georgia State University.
