Telfair Museums presents three days of free admission to Telfair Museums’ Jepson Center for the Arts and Whitfield Lovell: Deep River on Nov. 1-3. Included in the free days is an activity filled Free Family Day on Saturday, Nov. 1 from 1 to 4 pm.

Free Family Days are hosted every month. They are a fun and educational way to engage the entire family. Hundreds of visitors attend each month to enjoy hands-on activities. Free Family Days are free and open to the public thanks to funding provided by the City of Savannah and Georgia Power Foundation, Inc.

During this month’s Free Family Day, families explore Whitfield Lovell: Deep River, the multi-media exhibit that uses music, video, art and even dirt to create an experience for the viewer’s senses. Children dig for artifacts, participate in storytelling, create wooden art, draw portraits and play gallery games throughout the afternoon. Artist John Mitchell will offer demonstrations along with other artists who incorporate historical themes into their work.
