Historic Savannah Foundation (HSF) recently promoted two of its staff members, Frances Colón and Chassidy Malloy. The nonprofit historic preservation organization announced the promotions at its October board meeting.
“Frances and Chassidy are so deserving of these promotions and we as a whole are thrilled to see them grow within this organization,” said Daniel Carey, president and CEO of HSF. “There is no doubt that they will excel in their respective positions to help continue the mission of HSF.”
In her new position as special events coordinator, Colón is responsible for organizing and implementing plans for HSF events, including the annual Race for Preservation, the Savannah Preservation Festival and the Gala. Colón is a 2008 graduate of the University of West Georgia and, prior to her appointment, was office manager and then membership and volunteer coordinator for HSF.
As the newly appointed membership and volunteer coordinator, Malloy will focus on increasing HSF’s membership and volunteer recruitment program. Malloy previously worked in HSF’s finance department as administrative assistant and earned a bachelor’s degree in historic preservation from Savannah College of Art and Design in 2008.
