Rivers & Glen Trading Co. announces it has appointed Bryan H. O’Dell as General Manager of its new Savannah store, located at 24 Drayton St. This is the second location for the Augusta-based sporting retailer.

Prior to joining Rivers and Glen, O’Dell worked in the shipping industry for 20 years in the ports of Charleston and Savannah. But the opportunity to join a locally–based company providing anglers with clothing, equipment, education and destination fishing trips was the perfect lure to switch careers, and O’Dell took the bite.

“I enjoy working with people who are interested in fishing from the first-time beginner to the professional looking for that record catch,” said O’Dell. “I am excited to be involved with helping revive the art of fly fishing in Georgia, and I look forward to offering lessons, tying workshops and other educational opportunities to Savannah area anglers.”

O’Dell attended Wofford College in Spartanburg, SC and the College of Charleston, where he studied Intermodal Transportation. He serves on the Board of the Savannah Yacht Club and is Chair of the Power Boat Committee. The native of Sullivan’s Island, SC, enjoys fishing in his leisure time.
