A local dealership was nominated for the TIME Dealership of the Year in partnership with Ally Financial awards ceremony that will take place in January 2015. J.C. Lewis Ford LLC, which is headed by Walter Lewis, is one of 55 dealerships across the country that were nominated for this prestigious award. The ceremony will take place at the National Automobile Dealers Association Convention and Exposition in San Francisco on Jan. 23.

J.C. Lewis Ford has been serving Savannah and surrounding communities for more than 100 years, and the dealership staff said it feels honored to even be considered for this high award. Ally Financial will contribute $1,000 to each nominee's charity of choice.

The TIME Dealer of the Year award has been called one of the most prestigious awards a new car dealer can receive.
