An Atlanta-based company will examine whether minority- and women-owned businesses are getting a fair share of city contracts, as part of a $239,136 disparity study unanimously approved by the Savannah mayor and aldermen Thursday.
The study, which will focus on contracts awarded in 2009 through 2013, is expected to begin in January and take nine months to complete, said City Manager Stephanie Cutter.
