Tourism Leadership Council Seeks nominations for Tourism Awards

The Tourism Leadership Council (TLC) welcomes all nominations for outstanding service in Savannah’s hospitality community. Have you had great service? Nominate someone who goes above and beyond in his/her hospitality job. Your nominee may be chosen for one of the elite awards given early next year at the 17th Annual Tourism Awards & Scholarship Dinner.
“The TLC appreciates and acknowledges the 24,000 tourism workers who strive every day to provide guests amazing, one-of-a-kind experiences that have made Savannah a world-class destination,” said Michael Owens, President/CEO of the TLC.
The 2015 Awards open for nominations are:

Service Star Award is for someone who works with the guests directly on the frontlines of tourism.

Service Leader Award is presented to a managerial level employee who exhibits phenomenal service not only to guests but also to his/her colleagues through their exemplary leadership.

“I AM TOURISM” Award is one of the highest honors given to someone who embodies the spirit of tourism and promotes the “Hostess City of the South” mantra.
The following 2015 Awards will be awarded by the Board of Directors:

Herb & Franklin Traub Visionary Award will go to someone who shows a vision for the tourism community and does what it takes to achieve that vision.

John P. Rousakis Community Champion Award goes to someone who may be from the tourism community, but spends his/her time and talent championing for tourism.

Member of the Year Award goes to a person or organization that promotes the mission of the TLC.
