Armstrong to Host Int'l Speaker and Author at 2015 Literacy Conference on Feb. 28th

Armstrong State University’s Coastal Savannah Writing Project (CSWP) will host the 2015 Literacy Conference on Saturday, Feb. 28 from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. in Armstrong’s Student Union, located at 11935 Abercorn St.
The conference will feature internationally recognized writer, teacher and author Barry Lane as the keynote speaker. Lane is known for his dynamic, interactive, humorous and musical workshops and conference presentations for K-12 teachers, administrators and parents.
Lane will host two, one-hour breakout sessions in conjunction with CSWP director Lesley Roessing and the program’s associate directors. Topics will include:

Building Better Sentences

Socratic Seminar

Reading, Writing and Responding with Technology

Creating a Inquiry Culture in an Answer World
Breakfast refreshments will be served. Following the sessions, Follett will host a book sale and author signing.
