Hospice of South Georgia’s advisory board presents Rocket Man: A Tribute to Sir Elton John at the Valdosta High School Performing Arts Center on Saturday, Jan. 24 at 7pm.  This concert is dedicated to the award winning music of Sir Elton John, as well as his elaborate costumes and stage production. General admission is $20 and all proceeds benefit patient care at Hospice of South Georgia and the Langdale Hospice House. 

Performed by the Columbia, SC based rock quartet Tokyo Joe, Rocket Man is sure to leave every Elton John fan feeling as though they have experienced a tribute performance worthy of the original. Since their 1996 debut, Tokyo Joe has become the fastest rising band in the Southeast. Night after night, from Virginia to Georgia, the Columbia, South Carolina based rock group has shared their infectious sound with more than a quarter of a million fans. Playing 160 dates this year alone, they have secured a lasting place within the ranks of the South's most popular musical acts. Tokyo Joe has opened for bands like Blessed Union of Souls, Bachman Turner Overdrive, Sister Hazel, Georgia Satellites and Marshall Tucker. The band has played world-class venues throughout the Southeast including Carolina Coliseum and House of Blues.
