The Rives E. Worrell Company (a JE Dunn Construction Company) today presented $15,000 to the St. Joseph’s/Candler Foundations as the title sponsor of the 13th annual Candler Clays Charity Shoot & Auction.
The Candler Clays benefits the Nancy N. and J.C. Lewis Cancer & Research Pavilion at St. Joseph’s/Candler. This year’s event is dedicated to the memory of The Honorable Charles B. Mikell, Jr., former Chief Judge of the Court of Appeals and patient at the Lewis Cancer & Research Pavilion until his death last year due to complications of multiple myeloma.
"Rives E. Worrell, a JE Dunn Construction Company, is more than just a local business; we are a community partner,” said Walter Murphy, vice president of Rives E. Worrell Co. "We support the towns and cities where we work and are proud to give back 10 percent of our pre-tax profits to the Savannah business community. The Candler Clays is a worthy charity to support, as it directly helps cancer patients in this region."
The Candler Clays Charity Shoot & Auction will take place on Friday and Saturday, February 20-21, 2015. The Friday night reception and auction will be hosted at the Savannah Golf Club and the Sporting Clays Tournament will take place Saturday at Forest City Gun Club.
