Sea Island Bank Elects Barton to Advisory Board

Sea Island Bank, a division of Synovus Bank, announces the appointment of Jerry Barton to its local Advisory Board. Barton will also assume the role of Chairman for the Savannah Advisory Board.

His extensive banking career provides the board with additional expertise about the banking industry and market opportunities. Barton began his banking career in 1969 and has spent his entire career in the Savannah market serving in various executive positions. He has served as a member of Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce CEO Council, Savannah Rotary West, Chairman of Armstrong Atlantic State University’s Educational Properties Foundation, Chairman of the Board of Directors for Armstrong Atlantic State University Foundation, Board of Directors of Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce and Union Mission.
