Aflac Launches First Official GRAMMY Station on Pandora
Press release from the issuing company
Monday, February 9th, 2015
Aflac, the leading provider of voluntary insurance at the work site in the United States, announced today that, in partnership with The GRAMMYs, it launched the first official GRAMMY music station on Pandora, the leading internet radio service. The station will offer uninterrupted music because Aflac doesn't like to keep listeners – or policyholders – waiting.
Aflac and The Recording Academy collaborated to curate a digital mixtape of songs from this year's GRAMMY-nominated artists for Pandora listeners. The station will be updated throughout the year with music by this year's GRAMMY Award nominees and later with artists and songs nominated for next year's GRAMMY Awards. The first collection is available now via The GRAMMY Station, presented by Aflac or by searching GRAMMY or Aflac in the Pandora mobile/tablet app.
"Music is a common thread that reaches across all demographics, and we know that no matter when or where people are tuning in, they don't want to have to wait for the next song," said Michael Zuna, chief marketing officer at Aflac. "At Aflac, we believe it's important to help consumers get what matters most – whether it's money from an insurance claim or back to their favorite media – as quickly as possible."
Earlier this week, Aflac announced One Day PaySM, a trailblazing initiative that processes, approves and pays policyholders for eligible claims within one day of receipt. No one processes and pays claims faster than Aflac. As part of the One Day Pay campaign, the company will reveal the Aflac Duck's newest television commercial during the 57th GRAMMY Awards on Sunday, Feb. 8 at 8 p.m. ETon CBS Television Network.
Prior to the awards ceremony, the Aflac Duck will make his debut on the red carpet during E! Live from the Red Carpet. The company also collaborated with E! to create an innovative, accelerated commercial break experience. Tune in to E! Live from the Red Carpet starting at 6 p.m. ET on Feb. 8, to see how Aflac helps bring viewers back to the fashion and celebrity action even faster.
