Coastal Living Names Tybee Island One of Top Ten “America’s Happiest Seaside Towns”

Tybee Island, a charming southern beach town just 20 minutes east of historic downtown Savannah, Ga., was named one of the top ten “America’s Happiest Seaside Towns” in the March issue of Coastal Living, on newsstands now.
Time Inc.’s Coastal Living, the leading authority on coastal home and travel, announced today its fourth annual top ten list of “America’s Happiest Seaside Towns.” The complete list can be found online at www.coastalliving.com/happytowns2015.
Voting to name the number one, “America’s Happiest Seaside Town,” will begin today online and continue through March 31, 2015. Voters can visit www.coastalliving.com/happytowns2015 to cast their vote for their favorite seaside town. The final ranked list of the "America's Happiest Seaside Towns" will be featured in the July/August print issue of Coastal Living, on sale June 19, 2015, and also on www.coastalliving.com.
Online voters can follow the conversation and help spread the word via social media with #CLHappyTown throughout the voting period.

To choose the 2015 finalists for “America’s Happiest Seaside Towns,” Coastal Living editors began by reviewing destinations lauded in the past as Coastal Living Dream Towns, along with towns nominated by readers via social media. Coastal Living then collected each town’s rank on the Gallup-Healthways Well-Being Index, percentage of sunny days, air quality, healthiness of beaches, commute times, crime ratings, walkability, standard of living and financial well-being of the locals, geographic diversity, and Coastal Living editors' assessment of each town's "coastal vibe." This resulted in the Coastal Living Top Ten “America's Happiest Seaside Towns.”
