The Georgia Department of Labor will host the first in a series of recruitments Thursday in Savannah to help a staffing company, Kelly Services, hire 50 workers for the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System.

The first recruitment will be held Feb. 26 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the GDOL’s Savannah Career Center, 5520 White Bluff Road. Additional recruitments will be held every Thursday at the same time and location until the positions are filled. 

Kelly Services is recruiting custodians and food service workers. 

Applicants must be at least 18 years old, be prepared to interview, and dress appropriately to improve their opportunities for employment.

Salaries are $7.25 an hour.   

The company will conduct background checks and drug-screening tests on selected applicants.
