New 135-Room Hotel Planned for Jekyll Island

A new 135-room hotel is planned for Georgia's seaside retreat Jekyll Island.
State agency Jekyll Island Authority on Feb. 11 submitted a request for proposals for the design, construction and operation of a new limited-service hotel on the 11-mile-long barrier island.
The new hotel would anchor the mixed-use Beach Village development that's now under construction. It would sit on just over two acres at the project.
