Tybee Island, one of Georgia’s most beautiful barrier islands located just 20 minutes east of historic Savannah, is gearing up to host its 7th Annual Mardi Gras Celebration on February 14, 2015.

Pay homage to the traditions of Mardi Gras and enjoy fun, family-friendly events dating back to the ancient Romans and carried on today! Tybee will be decked-out in purple, gold and green and party-goers will enjoy lively parade, music entertainment, lavish costumes, fun contests, Cajun cuisine and much more!

7th Annual Mardi Gras Event Schedule:

Saturday, February 14 from 12-6 p.m.

Tybrisa Roundabout (at south end of island on Tybrisa Street and Butler Avenue)

Tybee Mardi Gras Parade

Butler Avenue to Tybrisa Street

Grab your chairs (and beads) and find a spot along on the street to watch as Tybee’s Mardi Gras parade rolls down Butler Avenue from Memorial Park to Tybrisa Street and features colorful floats, plenty of beads and marching bands!

After the Tybee Mardi Gras Parade, a costume contest will take place in the festival area at the Tybrisa Roundabout. Winners will be crowned the 2015 Mardi Gras Tybee King and Queen. The King and Queen will then host the street dance fun with music from the Zydeco Band!
