One Hundred Miles, the Brunswick-based coastal conservation organization, is seeking nominations of Georgia businesses and business professionals who 'demonstrate forward-thinking leadership in conserving and enhancing our Georgia coast and waterways' for the new statewide initiative, One Hundred Miles 100, honoring businesses and individuals working to protect and preserve Georgia's 100 miles of coastline.

Businesses and businesspeople can demonstrate their professional and/or personal interest in the health of the state's waterways through ways big and small -- from corporate environmental policies and corporate philanthropy to office recycling programs, company volunteer initiatives and personal charitable donations.  Businesses can range in size from small shops to national corporations.

In addition to businesses and business leaders, The One Hundred Miles 100 will honor individuals and organizations in a broad number of categories including civic leaders, educators, artists, researchers, journalists and students.

Deadline for submitting nominations is Friday, March 13, 2015.

Those interested in nominating their company, their colleague, their employee, their supervisor or themselves should email nominations with a short explanation as to why they should be recognized to [email protected].
