Hospice Savannah Foundation thanked leading donors and celebrated the successful launch of its inaugural annual giving campaign at a President’s Circle Reception on Thursday, March 5, at The Whitman on Forsyth Park. Members of Hospice Savannah’s President’s Circle enjoyed cocktails, appetizers and good company in the charming setting of the renovated historic inn. Guests also received commemorative Hospice Savannah pins, designed by local master jeweler Omar Portigliatti.
“We are so grateful to all those who gave so generously in this past year,” said Hospice Savannah Foundation Board Chair, Amy Peirsol. “So many of the services we offer at Hospice Savannah and the Steward Center for Palliative Care are not covered by Medicare or private insurance, and would not exist without our donors’ support.”
Hospice Savannah’s annual giving campaign, the Daily Impact Fund, finances programs such as grief counseling and bereavement support for children and adults, palliative care and volunteer companionship for those with life-limiting illnesses, hospice care for indigent patients, music and massage therapy, caregiver education and support, storykeeping, recognition and specialized care for veterans, pet care assistance, and more.
“These services mean so much to our patients and their families,” says Hospice Savannah President & CEO Debra Anthony Larson. “They make all the difference for people during life’s most difficult times.”
