Local High School Students to Visit STEM Facilities at Savannah State

On Friday, March 6, dozens of students from the surrounding high schools will visit the campus of Savannah State University. They will be taking advantage of the open house hosted by the College of Sciences and Technology.

Students who have expressed an interest in pursuing a career in science, technology, engineering or math have been invited through their teachers. Approximately 150 students are expected to attend.

They will tour the campus, view facilities and have a chance to participate in hands-on activities, in addition to learning about scholarship opportunities, summer bridge applications and the departments’ programs.

Tours will begin from King-Frazier student center at 9:30 a.m. Smaller groups of students will rotate through the various departments before returning to King-Frazier for lunch.
