Richmond Hill City Council Appoints Brad Brookshire to Planning Commission

The Richmond Hill City Council recently appointed Brad Brookshire to be a member of its Planning Commission. In this role, he is one of five city residents appointed by the Mayor and Council to review all building and zoning matters and make non-binding recommendations to the Mayor and Council. He formerly held a similar position with Bryan County.
Brookshire is currently a vice president of commercial banking for Ameris Bank in Richmond Hill, where he is responsible for loan and deposit growth. Prior to that, he worked for Bryan Bank & Trust for eight years as a commercial banker.
Brookshire, a native of Richmond Hill, earned a Bachelor of Business Administration in banking and finance from the University of Georgia. He successfully completed advanced financial training at the Georgia Banking School at the University of Georgia and the Graduate School of Banking at Louisiana State University.
In addition to his work with Ameris, Brookshire is a member of the Richmond Hill YMCA’s Board of Directors and the Richmond Hill Historical Society Board of Directors. A resident of Richmond Hill Plantation, he is a graduate of Leadership Bryan and was named one of Savannah’s Top 20 Rising Stars of Business by Savannah Magazine in 2013.
