St. Joseph’s/Candler and The Landings Club will partner together as SJ/C proudly takes the helm as the title sponsor of the Savannah Challenger ATP Tennis Tournament, the premier tennis tournament in the South.

In addition, SJ/C was named the exclusive healthcare provider of The Landings Club as part of the three-year agreement.

“Part of St. Joseph’s/Candler’s mission is to promote wellness,” said Paul P. Hinchey, President & CEO of St. Joseph’s/Candler.  “Through our partnership with The Landings Club, we will be able to offer a variety of health and wellness programs throughout the year that directly benefit their employees and community. As part of that commitment, we are pleased to also be the title sponsor of the Savannah Challenger, one of the most popular tennis events on the Southeast Coast.”

This year marks the seventh year that The Landings Club has hosted The Savannah Challenger, which brings some of the world’s finest tennis players and rising stars on the ATP Tour to the city. Last year’s Savannah Challenger champion Nick Kyrgios went on to upset two of the best players in the world at Wimbledon, where Challenger singles finalist Jack Sock claimed the men’s doubles title.

By joining The Savannah Challenger, St. Joseph’s/Candler will bring sports medicine expertise to the tennis players during the tournament and health care expertise to members of The Landings Club throughout the year. St. Joseph’s/Candler is the region’s leader in health care, home to the top specialists and the latest technology.

“We are excited about the opportunities this partnership brings to not only The Savannah Challenger, but to our employees and members during the next three years,” said Steven Freund, Executive Director at The Landings Club. “St. Joseph’s/Candler will provide monthly wellness events and bi-annual health screenings for Club members, a nutritional consultant for our restaurant menus and weekly clinic services for our employees among many other benefits as our new exclusive health care partner. We are committed to the health and well-being of our members and employees and this relationship solidifies our commitment.”

The St. Joseph’s/Candler Savannah Challenger tournament will take place April 18-26.
