Armstrong Promotes Allison Hersh to Director of Marketing, Communications

Armstrong State University recently promoted Allison Hersh to director of marketing and communications. In her new position, Hersh is responsible for the strategy and execution of all marketing and communications initiatives at Armstrong.
She originally joined Armstrong in 2013 as the university’s public relations manager. She previously served as vice president of media relations at Abshire Public Relations and as the editor of Savannah Scene. In addition to her marketing and communications expertise, Hersh is an accomplished feature writer whose work has been published in Southern Living, Coastal Living, Better Homes & Gardens, Decorating and Traditional Home.
Originally from Miami, Hersh earned a Ph.D. and M.A. in English Language and Literature from the University of Michigan and a B.A. in English with high honors from the University of Texas.
An active community volunteer, Hersh currently serves on the board of directors of the Flannery O’Connor Childhood Home. She is a former member of the board of directors for the Savannah Tourism Leadership Council and the Thomas Square Neighborhood Association.
