Friday, April 3rd, 2015

The Effingham Chamber of Commerce announced its annual Eggs and Issues Review Breakfast, scheduled for Wednesday, April 29 at 7:30am at the Effingham College and Career Academy on Hwy. 21 in Rincon. Reservations must be made by Friday, April 24 for a head count for the breakfast.

The annual event is an opportunity to visit with our State Legislators and hear their responses to current issues and questions concerning Effingham County. State Senator Jack Hill and State Representatives, Jon Burns and Bill Hitchens will be in attendance and will address the audience and answer questions following a delicious breakfast prepared by the ECCA Culinary Class.

Please join us for a panel discussion with State Senator Jack Hill, State Representative Jon Burns and State Representative Bill Hitchens.  The Chamber’s Governmental Affairs committee prepared a list of issues for the Elected Officials involving funding for transportation, education, healthcare, support for economic development and how the 2015 session of the Georgia General Assembly could affect our community.

“We expect a great turnout for this event,” Chamber President, Scott Hinson, said. “Last year we had over 70 attendees at the Eggs & Issues Breakfast and we expect a record turnout again on April 29th.”

Attendees will also be invited to submit their written questions to the program’s moderator who will direct them to our panel of elected officials.

The Chamber asks that reservations be made by Friday, April 24 so the meal count can be made. Please contact the chamber by telephone or by email. Call 754-3301 or email to: [email protected]. Breakfast cost is $12 for Chamber members and $15 for visitors.
