GDOL to Help Ambassador Personnel Hire Manufacturing Workers in Savannah

The Georgia Department of Labor will help staffing company Ambassador Personnel hire 18 manufacturing workers for companies in Savannah, Pooler and Bloomingdale.
The recruitment will be held Tuesday, April 14, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the GDOL’s Savannah Career Center, 5520 White Bluff Road.
The company is hiring for several different positions. The positions, requirements, and salaries are as follows: bi-lingual medical receptionist proficient in English and Spanish, one year experience, $12 per hour; computer numerical control (CNC) machinist, two years experience, $15 to $18 per hour; CNC programmer/machinist, two years experience, $20 per hour; forklift operators, two years experience, $10.50 per hour, and a packer/machine operator, no experience required, $8.50 per hour.
Due to U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) regulations, applicants must be at least 18 years old. They must also have a high school diploma, or a General Education Diploma (GED), and pass a criminal background check and drug screening.
