Kristin Boylston Named Project Manager for Savannah Graduates

Kristin Boylston has been named project manager for Savannah Graduates, a new community-wide initiative focused on creating a more educated workforce in Chatham County. In this role, she serves as liaison to area companies, agencies and schools to encourage degree completion.

With broad executive-level professional experience, Boylston has spent the last 20 years working within the arts, education, and community sectors. As the former principal of Boylston Design + Consulting, she facilitated analysis and strategic council to executive directors, senior managers, boards of trustees and non-profit organizations on such issues as branding, business development, design, communications, fundraising, event planning, marketing and public relations. 

Previously, she served as the director of development and communications for Telfair Museums, where she was responsible for strategic planning, implementation and evaluation of the development and communications plans. At the Telfair, she led a $1.2 million campaign to support major exhibitions and raised approximately $3.1 million annually from individuals, corporations, foundations, government and other sources. She secured additional funds through aggressive grant writing programs, managed six major special events netting over $500,000 and produced award-winning communications materials for the organization’s re-branding efforts. 


Over the years, she served as the director of corporate relations and marketing for the Savannah Economic Development Authority and as the dean of 
institutional advancement for the Savannah College of Art and Design, where she continued her own education with a focus on art history, arts administration and museum studies. 

Before moving to Savannah, Boylston lived in New York City, working as a buyer, merchandiser and national account manager for high-end flagship stores and private label programs. She studied business at the Community College of Staten Island.

A graduate of Leadership Savannah, Boylston is affiliated with Visit Savannah, Savannah Advertising Federation, the Tourism Leadership Council, the American Marketing Association, the Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce, Savannah Marketing Group and American Fundraising Professional Savannah Chapter. She has served on the editorial board of South Magazine, as a chair for the Red Cross Fundraising Event and on the Community Outreach Board of Directors for the United Way. She has received numerous honors including Savannah Tech Foundation’s Community Star Award and Gold, Bronze and Silver Addy Awards.
