Rives E. Worrell Co., a JE Dunn Construction Company, recently celebrated the halfway point of its Mercer University and Memorial Health University Medical Center project with a lunch for all subcontractors on the project.
“When working on such a large project, it is critical to have qualified and trustworthy subcontractors,” said Ryan Price, a vice president of Rives E. Worrell Co. “On behalf of the Rives E. Worrell Co., we would like to thank all of the subcontractors who have allowed us to complete this milestone and who have made this project so successful thus far.”
The $18 million expansion of facilities on the Savannah campus includes renovation of the William and Iffath Hoskins Center for Biomedical Research as well as construction of an addition to the Hoskins Center to serve as a medical education and research facility for the Mercer University School of Medicine. Completion of this project will allow a 50 percent increase in enrollment – from 160 to 240 – on the Savannah campus.
