Savannah Barber Celebrates 50 Years in Business
Wednesday, April 29th, 2015
Like a lot of his customers, Jim Stanley found something that worked for him and stuck with it.
“I came here on vacation and I liked it,” Stanley says of Savannah, “so I moved here.”
On April 28, 1965 Stanley opened a barber shop at the corner of Largo Drive and Abercorn Street on Savannah's Southside. And 50 years later to the day, he's still there' still offering no-nonsense cuts and conversation that men used to expect in the barber chair.
