Savannah State Employee Named Chapter President of Professional Organization

Mary H. Loomis, CPA, MPA, assistant vice president for Business & Finance and comptroller at Savannah State University, has been named the National Association of Professional Women Savannah Chapter President.
The chapter president’s responsibilities include administering networking events, regularly scheduling monthly meetings with chapter members, and promoting activities and events that are designed to promote core values.
In addition, the president is expected to lead her chapter in supporting the causes of the NAPW Foundation, Inc., whose purpose is to aid women and girls who are in need of career training, by providing them with funding and referrals to third-parties organizations.
As the largest, most-recognized networking organization of professional women in the country, spanning virtually every industry and profession, the National Association of Professional Women (NAPW) is a vibrant networking community with more than 700,000 members and in more than 200 local chapters.
